The project ‘Auto Aerobics’ by Chris La Brooy, an UK based artist, began with the context. ‘Walking through Brooklyn on a winters evening is a truly memorable experience’ which motivated him to build a digital model that captured the various details and textures of this location. The pontiac automobile was initially just a prop parked on the sidewalk when Chris started building the environment, however he later decided to make it the subject of the series and started abstracting the forms by hollowing out the cars core and experimenting with multiples which over time began to look extraordinary.
